Innovation Forum

The innovation forum was just reaching the end of its build schedule, a managed office space to hold fifty high tech companies. From inception, design and implementation IT-Start have serviced technology for tenants and the high tech infrastructure for the entire building forming an integral part of the building providing effective solutions for its growing inhabitants.

In July 2009 IT-Start consulted and implemented a new Cisco 65xx switch stack to expand switch port availability for the building, this platform also allows for security, wireless and load balancing services to be deployed ensuring future expansion and network development can be achieved.

CBS

The Commissioning Business Service (CBS) was created by the Greater Manchester Primary Care Trusts to support them in the development of the commissioning activities as a standalone agency along management consultancy lines.

CBS approached IT-Start as part of an office move which provided CBS with the opportunity to review all existing IT Infrastructure.  As part of a strategic review by CBS, IT-Start worked to design, configure and deploy a virtualised, replicated server environment fully supported through to the desktop.

Firstly It-Start began work with an existing server environment, due to capacity constraints it was recommended that CBS moved to a virtualised environment based on VMWare which would also bring redundancy, capacity planning and improved resource allocation.  Secondly, It-Start migrated CBS’s PCT desktop estate to a brand new domain with email services and linked this to a Blackberry Enterprise Server giving roaming employees the ability to work remotely.

Office hour’s desktop support is provided to an ever increasing employee base while data backups are fully managed by It-Start as part of a coherent ongoing recovery program.

Warehouse One Limited

We first met Warehouse One in 2006, they had some I.T. infrastructure in place but at the rate they were growing it just wouldn't suffice for long.

We delivered a Microsoft infrastructure to them allowing for some solid reliable technologies.

The next Job was get their business information out of spread sheets and into something more manageable, we designed and delivered a bespoke warehouse management system that allows Warehouse One to track delivered, order and stock movements around their 250,000 square foot Warehouse.
